The Conway Stewart Series 100 Classic Black Special Engraving is a what everyone has been asking us to make – a classic Conway Stewart pen with the traditional engraving on the barrel that includes the logo, the name of the pen, and barrel colour (Black = 058), and the serial number. Launched in the 1950’s, the Series 100 pen range was born in the era brimming with optimism and the fascination of rockets and all things space -age. The torpedo-shape of the pen, and the design of the clip to make it sit perfectly in your breast shirt pocket makes this pen feel modern,  and it is now available with the bonus of the traditional engraving.

Each Series 100 Classic Black Special Engraving pen is set off with 3 x 9ct gold cap rings, 2 further 9ct gold rings on the barrel and a gold plated clip. The highly polished high density black acrylic is one of the wonder materials of the post war boom in material technology – a material that was robust, highly durable, and stable.  It is also very tactile and  will stay good-looking for years to come.

The Conway Stewart Series 100 range was first launched in 1954 and quickly became one of the most popular pens ever made by this British pen company.  It is appreciated today for its classic lines and its fine balance.

    Reset options

Always popular with pen collectors, the Conway Stewart Series 100 Classic Black Special Engraving is available in fountain pen mode only with a converter/cartridge filling mechanism. You may select one of our flexible 18ct gold nibs to be fitted to your pen. They are available in Fine, Medium and Broad and bear the distinctive Flag logo.

Each pen is housed in a Conway Stewart black leather presentation box which also serves as a showcase pen stand for your desk.

Because of the bespoke nature of all our pens – nib configurations, fitting options etc, we rarely have pens available ‘off the shelf’. As soon as we receive your order we will email you with a confirmation of your order and provide you with an estimate of the time required to assemble, configure and thoroughly test your pen. This is usually between 10 and 14 days, although in busy periods it could be up to 28 days.

Once your pen has passed quality control it will be carefully secured in its presentation box before being packed for despatch.

All our pens are despatched using Royal Mail and as soon as we have handed it over to Royal Mail, we will email you with a despatch confirmation. This email also provides you with a tracking number which will enable you to track your parcel.
